Der Schieberegeler CRP-5 von Pooleys wurde nach den anspruchsvollen Standards der Ausbildungsorganisationen für Berufspiloten entwickelt. Er enthält alle notwendigen Funktionen für die Prüfungen zum Berufs- und Verkehrpiloten.

Die kreisförmige Rechenschieberseite ermöglicht die Berechnung und Umrechnung von Temperatur, Zeit, Entfernung, Volumen, Höhe, Geschwindigkeit, Gewicht, Kraftstoff, Ausdauer, Multiplikation und Division, 1 in 60-Regel, Kompressibilitätskorrektur usw. Farbige Skalen und Beschriftungen verbessern die Bedienung und Übersichtlichkeit.

Auf der Seite des Winddreiecks befindet sich eine verschiebbare Skala mit einem Geschwindigkeitsbereich von 40-1000 und Messskalen an den Außenkanten von 1:500.000 NM, 1:250.000 NM, Inches und mm.

Ein klare Drehscheibe dient zum Plotten mit Bleistift. Wird meist zur Berechnung von Kurs und Groundspeed, Windgeschwindigkeit, Gegen- und Seitenwindkomponenten etc. verwendet.
