Press release 11-2020

German Aeronautical Information Publication now online free of charge

Since last week, DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung GmbH has made the German Aeronautical Information Publication (AIP IFR) available online free of charge.

24 November 2020.2020 - The AIP IFR - including the Supplements (SUPs) and Aeronautical Information Circulars (AIC) as well as the links to the VFR SUPs and AICs - can now be accessed around the clock via the AIS portal at www.dfs-ais.de directly from the homepage without registration.
The AIP IFR is available unchanged as a comprehensive web application via Eisenschmidt (www.eisenschmidt.aero). This contains previews and retrospectives of documents and has, for example, a full-text search function, bookmarks and a chronological display of amendment publications. The free online version, on the other hand, only shows the currently valid status.
The AIS portal is available to pilots for the online submission of flight plans,
flight plan sequence reports and landing reports for flights under visual and instrument flight rules in Germany or for flights abroad. With around 30,000 registered customers, the AIS portal is an important part of the service provided by the Aeronautical Information Service Centre (AIS-C).
