New aeronautical chart VFR 500 Italy for flying to other European countries

Flying to Lake Garda or the Adriatic coast is now possible with standardised chart material from DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung GmbH and R. Eisenschmidt GmbH. The well-known V500 map series at a scale of 1:500,000 has been expanded to include Italy.


02 April 2019 - Like the previously published European aeronautical charts of the Visual/VFR 500 series (V500 for short), the VFR 500 Italy corresponds in quality and design to the German ICAO chart 1:500,000. All aerodromes with name, location identification and frequency as well as information on runways are shown, as are gliding areas, areas for hang gliders and UL aircraft, parachute jumping areas and free balloon launch sites. VFR reporting points, FIS sectors with frequencies, radio navigation facilities, aviation obstacles, maximum elevation figures and isogones are also shown.
The VFR 500 Italy consists of the four map sheets North, Centre, South and Isles, which will be available from mid-April at a price of 16.50 euros per map sheet.
Other V500 editions are: Austria, Austria Glider, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, France NE, Hungary, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland.
