Eisenschmidt cancels participation in AERO

04.03.2020 - Due to the spread of the coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2), Eisenschmidt, DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung GmbH and Aviationexam will not be taking part in AERO. Europe's largest aviation trade fair is scheduled to take place in Friedrichshafen from 1 to 4 April 2020.

The cancellation applies to the entire trade fair appearance: In addition to the presentation and sale of pilot accessories from Eisenschmidt and the Aviationexam learning platform, the Flight Information Service (FIS), the Flight Advisory Service (AIS-C) and the DFS News for Pilots (NfL) office will not be on site in Friedrichshafen. The presentations by Eisenschmidt and DFS at the AERO Conferences will also not take place.
The decision to cancel is based on the recommendations of DFS, which in turn follows the recommendations of the Robert Koch Institute. These include avoiding large events in order to minimise the risk of infection. Eisenschmidt is following this recommendation in the interests of the health of all trade fair participants, visitors and employees. The decision was made with a heavy heart, as the AERO is an important meeting place for customers and partners every year.
However, the health aspect is the top priority for Eisenschmidt and a risk cannot and should not be taken.
The Eisenschmidt shop in Egelsbach will be open during the trade fair so that the new ICAO charts for Germany 2020 and other accessories for the new flying season can be purchased on site. The webshop at www.eisenschmidt.aero is of course also available as usual and the dispatch of products is still guaranteed.
