AERO Special 2019

Eisenschmidt, a subsidiary of DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung GmbH, is placing a special focus on pilot training at this year's AERO. This poses great challenges: a wide range of topics, a high learning workload and a demanding examination. A flexible learning and examination platform supports student pilots as well as flight schools, clubs and authorities. Eisenschmidt has found a partner with many years of experience in Aviationexam.

February 2019 - Eisenschmidt developed the PPL question catalogue in cooperation with the DAeC Deutsche Aero Club e.V., DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung GmbH and DWD Deutscher Wetterdienst and presented it at the last AERO. With all subjects of the EASA syllabus, it represents the examination standards of most German states. The question database contains over 3,000 exam questions and covers all licences. For microlight pilots, there is the SPL-UL/LL question catalogue from the DULV Deutscher Ultraleichtverband e.V. with over 2,300 questions.
The right platform for every user group: student pilots can use the PPL question catalogue across all platforms (smartphone, tablet, PC) in all app stores (Microsoft, Apple, Google). This means they can study for the exam at any time: Whether you're on the move or at home. The database is regularly updated. 5% of the questions can be tested free of charge. Aviationexam's LMS (Learning Management System) is available as a Basic or Pro version for flight schools and clubs. The progress of flight students can be tracked easily and transparently. The system offers exam-related preparation for all licences. The LMS Basic is free of charge. Only activation codes for the student pilots and flight instructors need to be purchased within the software and assigned to the respective students. Administration by the flight instructor is simple and straightforward. Status reports can be used to optimise lessons. Preliminary or intermediate examinations are also possible at any time. Free access can be created for both versions at any time. The LMS Pro, including the PPL question database, can even be tested free of charge for 4 weeks. Flight schools and clubs are welcome to contact Eisenschmidt or have the system presented to them at the AERO and have a free account created. An examination system for authorities is available as Software as a Service. Updates for both the system and the question databases are carried out automatically and can be used directly without installation. The evaluation and documentation of the exams is also fully automated. Aviationexam is already being used by the state aviation authorities in Hesse, Bavaria, Lower Saxony and Baden-Württemberg.
