Basic course for the subject area of operational procedures to support theoretical instruction. (Course language: German)

The basic courses at Pilots First Academy have been developed to support flight students during their theoretical training and prepare them for the theoretical examination at the German aviation authorities to obtain their LAPL(A)/PPL(A) licences. The courses cover the basic content and are based on the recommendations of the EASA syllabus. This enables effective preparation and follow-up of the theory lessons, online, at any time and from any location.

Our e-learning course Operational Procedures provides flight students with practical knowledge of the essential operational procedures and regulations for powered flight in accordance with the EASA PPL(A) syllabus. The focus is on understanding the operational framework and safety-related procedures – starting with the general requirements of ICAO Annex 6 and European and national regulations on standard operating procedures, emergency and safety landings, noise abatement procedures, and extending to topics such as fire protection, evacuation and wind shear. In addition, important terms, definitions and procedures are clearly explained, for example the use of checklists, the role of the pilot in command, the significance of aerodrome markings and the handling of dangerous goods and ELTs. Interactive practical examples and clear illustrations help to ensure a solid understanding and application of operational procedures – an indispensable basis for safe, proactive and responsible flying.

Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to correctly plan and implement operational procedures in normal flight operations as well as in emergencies. They will be familiar with the relevant regulations, able to confidently assess operational procedures and safety and evacuation measures, and familiar with noise reduction procedures, dealing with contaminated runways, and how to respond to fires and smoke. This enables them to avoid typical mistakes, make informed decisions and ensure smooth and legally compliant flight operations. Interactive test questions at the end of each module help participants to continuously monitor their own learning progress.
